>>PREVIOUS CONFERENCES We are pleased to invite representatives of the Side by Side Homeopathy project to return to discuss the development and effectiveness of their volunteer project that was first introduced at our 2009 conference. This free homeopathic project works in conjunction with Onsite, the detox treatment facility adjoining Insite, North America’s first legal supervised injection site in downtown Vancouver. FEATURED SPEAKERS: El Cecchetto, DCH As a student at the Vancouver Homeopathic Academy, El Cecchetto was also a Director of WCHS and, in 2006, a member of the founding Board of the Canadian Society of Homeopaths. Now she practices classical homeopathy at the Access Natural Healing on Commercial in Vancouver. Last year El and other homeopaths started the Side by Side Homeopathy volunteer project providing homeopathic treatment for socially and economically marginalized people in the Downtown Eastside (DTES) of Vancouver. Albertine Phan, DCH Albertine Phan is a former Director of the WCHS and the founder of Switched On Health which provides individualized consultations for all aspects of health: mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual. Currently Albertine is spear-heading a fundraising golf tournament and is involved in a speaking tour to benefit people in recovery from addiction in the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver, the poorest postal code in Canada. Marilee Roome, RCSHom Registered member, Marilee Roome is a graduate of the Vancouver Homeopathic Academy with a private practice in Vancouver, BC. In 2009, she joined nearly a dozen other homeopaths to form the Side by Side Homeopathy Project to provide recovery and wellness support for people with substance misuse issues in the Vancouver Downtown Eastside. Marilee helps with the project’s administration as well as regularly consulting and prescribing for the clients.
